Playing as one of the Adeptus seems a little overpowered and 'regulated' -drills, rutines of the Adeptus-
Though I've been wanting to join a game of Dark Heresy for quite a while now.

I wouldn't say it's overpowered or regulated. You have read the books right? There's a lot of good stories to be told there!!! =) The only issue I have with the Deathwatch book though is that it is overly .... complicated. =P It would really help if you've played Rogue Trader or Dark Herasy =(
I'd be interested as a player in Dark Heracy but not so much as a GM =(
Rogue trader might be fun too though!
Anyhow, again, wouldn't toss out the idea of Astartes =) They're not as strong and regulated as most people think. You definitely get a different story though compared to Dark Herasy.
