Well, (early) welcome to Montreal!
I think you'll find there's a lot to do in Montreal. But it's unfortunate that you're not coming more in to the summer since Montreal is the hyperactive kid of the world when it comes to festivals.

Hello Kaji and welcome (albeit late) to Montréal!
To answer some of your questions: Biking areas starting at the Old port, following the canal are amongst the favourite of most folks that I know who bike a lot. Also, a word of caution about Bixi: it can get really expensive, really quickly. The city has issued a few warnings about people who just take the bikes for rides, as the pricing scheme is really made to go from point A to point B and not take a leisure stroll with them. Just an FYI. :X
Another important french sentence to learn would be (IMHO): "Où sont les toilettes?" (Pronounced "Who son lay twa let"), which is "Where are the restrooms", but that's me. ;3
As far as vegetarian food is concerned, I sadly cannot be of much help... I'm quite the carnivore, so I'll let people who might be more in the know about this answer. :X
And as far as Arcades are concerned, I hear that the ones on Sainte-Catherine are pretty good (I know there's one or two around Guy), but as I have not visited one of those in like... years.... I can't really say, again.
I know it's not much, but I sincerely hope it helps somewhat! And I sincerely hope you have a grand time in our little city.
*hugs* _________________ Fuzzily yours, Firebreath
